SCOPE OF WORK

To perform Commissioning & Startup activates for the entire site Fire Protection Systems at site including:

  • Fire alarm systems verifications
  • Fire Water piping flush activities for both underground piping and building risers
  • Hydrant Flow test and inspection
  • PIVs inspections and functioning verification
  • Manifolds, Firefighting monitors, Sprinkler systems, Stand Pipe Hose station systems acceptance test (verification of design) including Flow test and functionality test
  • Helping client with Issuance of Building Occupancy Permit

Modification of Existing Barges – Oil Sand Mining Facility

SCOPE OF WORK

It includes the replacement of existing pump/motors located on the electric Barge and installation of six vertical turbine water pump/motor assembly, Knife gate valves with Electrical actuators, Magnetic/Cidra flow meters and pressure transmitters along with Pressure gauges. Instrumentation on pond water lines was needed to control pump motors/knife gate valve operation.

SCOPE OF WORK

Fire Alarm System Repair & verification

SCOPE OF WORK

Rotaflow was responsible to provide all the necessary tools, equipment, services, labor, materials and supervision needed to perform repairs the fire alarm system to resolve deficiencies found in Fire Inspection Report and facilitate the execution of a verification exercise for the electric bell intended to sound on local water flow of the sprinkler system. In The scope of this exercise also included:

  • Replacement of Unit front entrance horn/strobe with a new matching model device.
  • Replacement of outside nonadjustable horn/strobe with an electric bell.

Electrical Engineering DBM for an Oil & Gas Upstream Plant

SCOPE OF WORK

Rotaflow Undertook development of the Design Basis of Memorandum for an Oil & Gas Upstream Plant supply project. The project deliverables were as follows.

  • Design of electrical distribution system for the booster pumps of CPW supply system to the Plant
  • Issue and gain approval for the Tie-in request
  • Reserve the required DCS I/O points.
  • Update single line drawings of MCCs of the Plant
  • Update layout drawings of 480V MCCs of the Plant
  • Develop schematic wiring diagrams for booster pumps of CPW Gland and Tempering water system.
  • Update equipment layout drawings.
  • Update grounding layout drawings.
  • Develop power and control cable schedule.
  • Produce equipment specification for Breakers, Starters, Instruments and Cables.
  • Load calculation to evaluate load impact of adding new load on Main breaker of MCC and upstream transformer.
  • To evaluate redundancy in power supply to new loads.
  • To evaluate routing for power and control cables of new loads.
  • To update single line diagram of MCCs for adding new loads.
  • To update layout drawings of MCCs for adding new loads.

Detailed Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Design for a Cold Process Water unit

SCOPE OF WORK

Rotaflow performed a Pre-DBM study for Gland and Tempering Water Pumping System for an Oil & Gas upstream Plant Cold Process Water unit(CPW) for an Oil & Gas upstream unit Cold Process Water unit.

The objective of process scoping study was to provide engineering recommends regarding installation of booster pumps on Gland water system and on Tempering Water System for Hydro Transport (HT) line process water. An Electrical Technical Report was provided based on Field survey and calculation to confirm power and control infrastructure availability for the booster pumps of Gland water system and Tempering Water Pumps.

Arc Flush Study for the Installation of Permanent Power in TRO facility

SCOPE OF WORK

Rotaflow conducted an arc flash study for the installation of permanent power for an Oil & Gas Tailings Reduction Operations (TRO) facility which encompasses the circuit breaker at switchgear and all downstream equipment including MFT drying and MPSU polymer system. This study provided protection settings for new protection relays and arc flash levels of downstream buses. In addition, harmonic information for existing VFDs in MFT drying package were analyzed and documented.

The main purpose of this study was to determine the effects of permanent power supply to the Tailings Reduction Operations (TRO) System 6. This study examined the short circuit, harmonic, protective device coordination and arc flash energy levels for the System equipment. The results of this study have been utilized to determine the protection settings and arc flash hazard data for use during installation and commissioning of this facility.
